GOFFSTOWN — Police arrested a 47-year-old man following a domestic disturbance Friday morning at his ex-girlfriend’s residence.

Police responded to a home at 26 Desaulnier St. in Pinardville around 9:30 a.m. on Friday for a domestic disturbance, which eventually led to the evacuation of nearby residences, according to police.

A caller had reported that a female resident had locked herself inside a bathroom after possibly being assaulted by her former boyfriend, Joseph Tabor.

“There was also a report of a potential firearm discharge in the area,” police said in a statement. “Police responded and began evacuating residents to ensure the safety of the neighborhood.”

The Manchester Police Department’s SWAT team responded to the scene, assisting the Goffstown Police Department while questioning the woman who may have been assaulted, according to a news release.

Authorities began searching for Tabor, 47, of Goffstown, who was eventually apprehended by Nashua police Friday afternoon.

Tabor was charged with a felony count of reckless conduct. The woman was not injured in the incident.
