DERRY — The Derry Parks & Recreation Department on Thursday said the iffy weather forecast for Sunday afternoon has led to the cancellation of several Frost Festival events.

The National Weather Service is forecasting both rain and snow showers for Sunday.

Department Director Eric Bodenrader said weather conditions often prove challenging for the festival committee to pull off scheduled activities, and organizers decided to call off the snowmobile rides, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing scheduled for Sunday afternoon at Hoodkroft Golf Course.

The cookie decorating festivities at the Hoodkroft Country Club, sponsored by Culinary Playground, have been relocated to the Alexander-Carr Lodge from 1-3 p.m.
