July 22. 2018 9:43PM

CLAREMONT — A 68-year-old man died from injuries he suffered when he was hit by a pickup truck Saturday morning, according to Claremont police officials.

Scott Quintey was walking on Charlestown Road just after 7 a.m. when he was struck by a 2015 GMC 1500 pickup truck that Jesse Hargrove, 58, of Claremont was driving.

Quintey was brought to the Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Speed, impairment and distraction do not appear to have been factors in the crash, police said.

Anyone who saw the crash or has information about it is asked to call Sgt. Justin Laffin of the Claremont Police Department at (603) 542-9538.
