Boscawen woman charged with assaulting Bow police

August 18. 2017 4:03PM

BOW - A Boscawen woman is facing new charges after allegedly assaulting police trying to take her into custody on outstanding warrants.

About 8 p.m., police were called to the Hampton Inn at 515 South St. for a report of two women trying to pay for a room with insufficient funds.

The women provided false names to police at first, police said. Once their true identities were established, police found Liana Sottile, 27, of Boscawen, had four outstanding warrants and a probation violation to deal with. She didn’t take the news well.

“Sottile assaulted officers by punching, spitting (on) and biting them,” Bow police said in a statement.

Sottile is charged with false reports to police, resisting arrest, and four counts of simple assault. She was scheduled to be arraigned Friday.

The second female, identified as Keirsten Gadwah, 22, of Concord, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for receiving stolen property out of Franklin District Court.
