GILFORD — Three people were injured, one fatally, in a rollover crash on Route 3 Saturday evening.

The single-vehicle crash, involving a small SUV, happened just before 5 p.m. between Morrill Street and Gilford Avenue, officials said.

Authorities said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

Medical helicopters from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team and Maine Life Flight were called in to transport patients to Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.

The driver of the car was hospitalized, police said. The third occupant, a young infant, was not seriously hurt.
